Adding text to new slide

I've created a new slide, it says it contains a text box, and double-click to add text. When I double click, it seems ready to accept text but doesn't seem to recognise the keyboard input?

I fixed it by restarting Presenter - I find I have to do that sometimes, e.g. when trying to insert songs
