Sluggish scripture screen transitions

In the past week, scripture service items are switching between verses very slowly under my default 0.25-second screen transition setting. I had to set it the transition time to "cut" because it was very distracting. I have been running Presenter 2024.3.3 for Mac Intel. I wondered if the macOS translation for Intel code on an Apple chip was the issue, so I deleted the Intel app and downloaded the latest Presenter for the Apple chip. Still having the same issue.

As you can see, computing heft isn't the issue: Apple M3 Pro, 36 GB RAM, macOS Sequoia 15.0.1 (24A348).

While scripture verse transitions are sluggish at 0.25 seconds, slide transitions at 0.25 seconds are behaving normally.
