Problem with streaming from YouTube

July 7, 2020
This past Sunday we had trouble streaming from YouTube using WE. We pre-record our sermons and premiere them on YouTube to begin during our scheduled service time. As part of our 1st phase of reopening since the COVID19 shutdown, we're projecting our livestream onto screens in the church. Unfortunately when we went to click on our video in the cue we an error message of a ! mark in a circle with the text Video unavailable appears. I did a pre-test with a video we did a week ago and everything worked fine. Is there some way to fix this?

Some videos that play on youtube.com may show a "Video Unavailable" message when used in Worship Extreme. This is controlled by the YouTube video creator/uploader. They can mark their videos as youtube.com only which will prevent it from being played in Worship Extreme.

I'm confused. We haven't changed our process of uploading our Sunday service to Youtube. We have always set it as a premier and there doesn't seem to be anything that indicates that it will only play on Youtube. Our video from June 28th https://youtu.be/79zeh6nTzPE works fine on WE, but last week's video https://youtu.be/6ERy6l-FKU8 would not.

While I've never tried WE playing a YouTube livestream/premiere video before, I know I ran into issues trying to put a livestream on our website because our YouTube channel wasn't connected with an AdSense account (because of that, we weren't allowed to embed it). This may be what you're running into with WE. You could just import the file that you uploaded to YouTube into WE and play it as a video, eliminating the need to play from YouTube for your in-house congregation. Alternatively, you may be able to use WE by using the webpage of the YouTube premier and maximize the screen, but that's just a theory.
