On the beta version, is it possible to select the legacy stage display layout?
That was like perfect for us until we installed the beta version.
Hello Serge, the legacy stage display layout can only be used on the Legacy Presenter app.
Hi Matthew, thank you for the response. May I ask what was the reason it was decided not to be ported to the beta version? Or at least why the layout is not available out of the box?
Hey Matthew,
Is there any plans to reimplement some form of layout adjustments for the new stage display? I appreciated making the next cue/slide smaller than the current so it was more usable on smaller screens, and the time was a nice touch. Excited to see where you go with it, but I hope the plan isn't for it to remain entirely a 50/50 split with current/next and zero adjustments.
We have exactly the same problem Webster 😄
Our stage display is a really tiny screen and the legacy layout was perfect for it.
It's not hard for you to replicate the 'legacy' stage display yourself. All you need to do is create it.
Hi Jake, I understand that it may be possible to recreate something similar manually.
The concern is that this was previously a built-in, supported layout that worked well for smaller stage-display screens. After moving to the Beta Presenter, that layout disappeared and there is no equivalent option available out of the box.
Rebuilding it ourselves also means additional setup, testing, and ongoing maintenance for functionality that already existed in the legacy version. We are mainly asking whether the previous layout, or similar layout controls, could be restored as a supported option in the new Presenter.
@Jake has the ability to create your own display types been added yet? When I checked last month, it allowed you to make more displays, but you could only choose stage or audience display types.
