Importing Powerpoint slide show into Presenter on a Mac

I have Powerpoint installed on my Mac and get the error message that I need "to verify Powerpoint is installed" when I try to import a slide show into Presenter. Only Keynote is showing under settings.

Hi Janet- We tested to make sure there weren't any bugs with the importer and that doesn't seem to be the case. Please make sure you have the latest version of Presenter installed. It may also help to delete and reinstall PowerPoint on your computer, as that has resolved the issue for some of our other users in the past.

I found if I launched PowerPoint before I started importing, things went a lot smoother and that message started appearing. You don’t need to open any particular file, but just have PPT running in the background.
