Is there any way to hide the sub-text (copyright etc) on the scripture slides? It makes the slides rather cluttered.

When you add Scripture using the “Create Slides” button (instead of just inserting a Scripture item), you gain full control over formatting—including the ability to remove or hide the copyright footer.
Go to the Scripture menu at the top of Presenter.
Search for your passage.
Click “Create Slides” at the bottom of the left pane.
In the Slide Editor, you can delete or hide the copyright text manually.

You can follow the steps above, but unless you cite the source, either in your bulletin, or on the screen, or in the announcement loop, you would be in violation of copyright law. Each translation is owned by a publisher, and that publisher has very specific requirements for how they are to be cited/given credit.
The same goes with songs that you sing. You must have a CCLI license and properly display the credit with each song. Failure to do so can be very expensive for churches that fail to follow the copyright laws. Most dont get pursued, but those who do, well, it's an expensive lesson. I have a friend that is a studio musician in Nashville and has appeared on numerous Worship albums and the stories he's told me are scary.
Also, if you are quoting the ESV, Crossway doesn't play, so it would be wise to give them the credit they require.
