Easier startup in offline mode

Our internet connection was accidentally disconnected last Friday, so we had no internet for the Sunday worship service. I was able to start Presenter in offline mode, but it was much harder than it should have been
I had to ensure that the projector laptop was disconnected from the Church's internal Ethernet connection and its Wi-Fi was turned off. Then presenter then started in offline mode. Otherwise, I just got a pop-up window complaining that Presenter was unable to download.
Could the app check whether there is an internet connection, rather than simply a network, before deciding whether to start in on-line or off-line mode?
