Moving song lyrics to a previous slide

March 28, 2023
When arranging lyrics into slides, there seems to be no simple way to move lyrics from one slide back to the previous one. Not all lyrics fit to an "x number of lines per slide" format. With other software such as MediaShout, lyrics on a slide can be moved to a previous slide by going to the beginning of the slide and pressing backspace, which combines the two and removes the second slide. This makes it easy to split or merge slides as needed.
In Presenter, the only way I have found to do this is:
a) copy the lyrics from the slide and paste them into the previous slide,
b) delete the unwanted/redundant slide,
c) re-split the resulting slide and then rename slides as needed.
This seems a bit clumsy.

Additionally, if a verse/chorus/etc is imported from SongSelect on 2 slides (Verse 1a, Verse 1b) and then split into 3 slides, you end up with Verse 1a, Verse 1b, Verse 1b. Presenter should automatically rename Verse 1b to Verse 1c when Verse 1a is split, so you end up with Verse 1a, Verse 1b, Verse 1c, but the rename has to be done manually.

This is admittedly a minor issue, but would save some time and effort when importing and arranging lyrics for the first time.
