Screen timeout on Android

Hi. My Charts app has stopped keeping the screen on. I have to go into my device settings and change the screen timeout to never, in order to keep the screen on while I'm playing. Charts used to override the system setting. What changed?

It’s not just Android, I have the same issue on iPad. Not sure when it started, certainly a recent update (last 3 or 4 weeks).
