Posting Main Audience Output to Projector (InFocus) screen

June 23, 2025
I'm a rookie using the Presenter Pro on a Mac mini. Our projector is an In-Focus. For some reason we lost the ability to put what is in the Main Audience Output screen (bottom left corner) of Presenter Pro onto the projector screen. Also, our Presenter Display will come up with the Current Time (we've never seen that before). We can pull up YouTube music videos and run through projector, just can't sync Presenter Pro to projector. If anyone has any ideas on how we lost our ability to join Presenter Pro to our projector and how to sync it back up, please advise.

Refer to the following options for troubleshooting:

1. Program Settings
Navigate to Presenter's Screen Configuration settings by clicking the display-shaped icon in the upper right corner, and then ⚙ Configure. Alternatively, you can click the ⚙ gear icon > Settings > Screen Configuration to arrive at the same place.

There, you want to make sure that your screen(s), left, are routing to the correct Display, right, and not set to Off. The most common setup is to have Main Audience Display routing to Display 1. Make sure to click Save if you make any changes here. Once this is completed, you shouldn't have to touch these settings very often, and your screens should now be showing your presentation. If you don't see any Display options, then you'll want to make sure that your cables are good and that your computer(s) and screen(s) are hooked up properly.

2. On/Off Toggles
Once your screens are routed properly per the program settings above, you can use the On and Off toggles under the display-shaped icon in the top right corner to turn your projection on or off on the go. For example, you may want to toggle the presentation off while you're editing the service and then toggle it back on when service begins. Remember, the toggle buttons don't turn off the screen itself, but rather just turn on/off the presentation from being projected to the screens.

This may be a cable problem. Display 1 is not an option in our Main Audience Display in Configurations. Is there any other reason Display 1 does not come up as an option other than a cable went bad? Has there been a recent Presenter update that fixes this problem? Our computer has not been able to get updates when Presenter is first turned on. I just go right into Presenter Pro.

If you don't see an option for Multiple displays in your display settings, then Windows isn't detecting a second display plugged into your computer. When Windows detects the display, it should appear on the Display page. If you don't see it listed there, try clicking Detect on the bottom right corner of the Rearrange your displays panel.

Make sure the display is turned on and plugged into the correct video port on your computer. You may also need to select the correct source (i.e. HDMI, VGA, etc.) on the display itself to ensure that the display is using the correct video port. For more information, check the manual for your display or go to the manufacturer's website.
