A bit of background here. My church has been having problems during our Monday night services when using the Remote application. Machine has a fresh install of Windows 10 Pro along with all of the driver updates, etc. Connection randomly breaks for a second or two and comes right back, but requires a relaunch of Presenter to reconnect with the Remote application. Issue seems to be a problem with the Windows DNS client, Windows Event Log shows DNS errors that correspond with times that Presenter briefly goes offline. Disabling hardware offloads on the network adapter helps, but does not 100% fix the problem.
Our solution was to install Linux alongside Windows and boot to Linux to run Presenter, and it is working well. However, with the fresh install to Linux, the only fonts available in Presenter were the default ones that came in Linux. Any fonts installed after the fact were not visible using the 2024.1.0 or newer versions. I am assuming it is related to the change in the 2024.1.0 version "Improvement: System font list will cache, improving app launch time" So for anyone doing a fresh install on Linux, or having trouble with Presenter not picking up any newly installed fonts, download and run the 2023.3.2 version, and then go back to or upgrade to the newer versions and you will have all of your user installed fonts available again
