New People Cannot Set-Up Account

When I add volunteers ("People") on the Planning app I have a repeated problem. The new person clicks on the invitation link and the page tells them they need to enter their password. If they try to create a new account it says they already have one. The reset password seems to be only way forward.

Advise these users to reset the password with the email that was invited and that should get them into the account. They will still be linked up and will have the designated access set for them in the Planning app.
