Worship tools templates for slides

Hello,
We've just found that we can set background across all our services in settings, and also that we can set a template for our lyrics to display in a consistent format (we've created our own alongside Default, Trendy line, and Bottom third). We've chosen font and background to comply with the British Dyslexia Association style guide for ease of reading for our congregation.
However, I can't find a way to apply our local song template to slides. We use slides for liturgy, so it's important it's readable. As far as I can see, the slides templates are mostly big graphics, which is not what we're looking for. We just want to set a default font colour and a plain(ish) background.
How do other churches with a lot of written liturgy with congregational responses deal with this? Do you input your liturgy as songs or slides? If as songs, are there any downsides to doing it this way?

Unfortunately, you cannot retro-fit a template to existing slides. You can pick a template (either one provided within Presenter or on you have prepared yourself), but it is not great. 'Slides' is undoubtedly the weakest part of Presenter. I have learned to cope with these limitations, but my biggest frustration is that if I create a new text block, it defaults to the Presenter defaults, which I cannot change, rather than the text style that I have set up in the template. I get round this by duplicating and then editing the text block. It's not great, but it works.
The Slides tool has been improved somewhat in the 2026 version of Presenter (currently still in beta, so not yet safe for use in services), but it is still deficient.
