Video freezes

We have Presenter in our church and have found recently that it freezes occasionally, but only when showing video .mp4 files. The only way to overcome this is to shut the program down and restart it. We use a Windows 10 laptop to run it. Can anyone shed any light on this issue and give us a fix please?

One thing I’ve found is that depending on your GPU- the bitrate of the video matters. For content I’ve created, I render it at no more than 8000kbps, that seems to work with our system.
Try re-encoding at a lower bitrate to see if that helps… a no-cost solution would be to drop the video file onto a timeline in Davinci Resolve and render it h.264 mp4 and go with a custom bitrate.
