I am new to Presenter. Can I save a Service with slides such that if I edit one of those slides for another Service the original Service doesn’t pick up the modified slide?

No, a slide's actual content is shared across all services that use that slide. When you change its content in one service, its master copy is changed in the database, so it affects every service using that slide. You can create a new slide by duplicating the old one, then editing that, to use in a new service.

I can see how this could be a problem for some churches; it makes preparing services 2 or 3 weeks in advance more difficult. If that's your situation, try making 2 or 3 sets of slides and rotating which set you use. Or if you have multiple services in one week that need different slides, then make a set for each service.
