change slide during service

So I am still learning Presenter. We control everything from a mac laptop. What is the best way I can go from one slide to the next during our service. Just curious how others work with this and not go to the next cue before your ready. Thanks

Right arrow, Space bar or Page down - Fire next slide (after the final slide, this moves to the next cue)
Left arrow or Page up - Fire previous slide
Many users also use a remote clicker for the speaker to move on to the next slide when they are ready.
