I would love to have the Google Slides "Sync" button back. That was VERY convenient for on the fly updates without having to upload the presentation again.

The sync button is available in 2026 Beta 9 but it is a little hidden.
If you go into Slides and click on the 3 dots in the bottom right corner of the slides you are after, the sync button is now in there.

I'm not seeing it. I am running MacOS. I only see the following on the slides for editing purposes: "Pencil, Duplicate/Clone, Trash"

It is definitely there.
At the top of your screen, near scripture and all the options along the top is “Slides”, select this which will then bring up the all the slides that you have created or imported (worth noting, if you haven’t imported it in 2026 it won’t show).
You will then have the 3 dots in the bottom right corner of each of the sets of slides.
Other things to note.
Beta 9 has add the sync feature.
I found that if I had imported the Google slides presentation in Beta 8, it wouldn’t sync in beta 9 so I had to re add it.
(It would be great if I could post screenshots in the forum and would be able to show exactly where it is but it is definitely there is beta 9)

It is showing now. I wasn't notified that there was a new version of presenter as I had just downloaded the newer update in April. So, I went and redownloaded the application and the "Sync" feature was where you said it was. Thanks for your help!
