Restricting lines to be shown

March 8, 2023
When restricting lines shown per slide and new slide is inserted for the overflow. That is if a song has 7 lines but is then reduced to 4 lines then two slides should be generated one showing 4 lines and the next 3 lines. These should then have the the title of Verse1 ad Verse1b.

Applying slide labels will help the line reformatting work smarter: https://www.worshiptools.com/en-us/docs/23-song-slide-labels

Thank you for your reply. I am converting over from SongPro and there if a verse does not fit the screen then it splits the text into two screens this then allows a correct verse / chorus flow. I know that your system is different, but on the song that I have experimented on it would appear that text flows to the next slide. To split a verse over two slides the I have manually split the slide and inserted a blank slide and renamed it a verse1b etc..

We have a lines-per-slide button that you can use to auto-adjust your slides: https://www.worshiptools.com/en-us/docs/103-line-breaks
This is where having those slide labels applied will help split your slides properly, so the verse won't get mixed with the chorus and so on

To split slides manually, you can also use the option+return (or option+enter) shortcut keys

Thank you. This worked as I envisaged. Just have to remember to set the slide labels first, which I was not doing as it appeared that the slides were named already. I have not linked to SongSelect so have not done an import from thee yet. This is a powerful program that I am still trying to understand.

Hey I have a question about this topic.
I am trying to change my slides to 4 or more to 2 lines and I used the slide splitter and some slides are still 4 lines why didn't they all go to 2 lines most of them did but not all??
