Hello WorshipTools team,
With Apple recently announcing future changes to Rosetta support on Apple silicon Macs, I wanted to ask if there are any plans to release a fully native Apple silicon version of WorshipTools Presenter.
Currently, Presenter appears to stilll rely on Intel compatibility through Rosetta on M1/M2/M3 Macs. since many churches are continuing to transition at Apple silicon hardware, having long term native support would be very helpful for stability and future macOS compatibility.
Are there any updates or plans regarding Apple silicon native support for Presenter?
Thank you for all the work you do.

There's been a native apple silicon version of Presenter for many years now, you can download it from the Presenter download page.

There is a native apple silicon version of Presenter? Where do we find this? The Legacy and Beta version both say "Intel" when looking under the "kind" column on Activity Monitor on your Mac. I think this means they are just Intel using Rosetta. It needs to be coded differently for a Mac, but it's still Intel code based. This could actually explain why my experience is that the beta version is slow and sticky. It does not appear to be the lean Legacy version that still runs Rosetta efficiently. I could be wrong. At any rate, this needs to be fixed on both versions in about 18 months, or none of these versions will work. Does anyone know any more about this? I'd like to be corrected if my assessment is not correct.

There are definitely Apple silicon version for both 2025 (Legacy) and 2026 (beta).
On the website make sure you are downloading the correct version. (the download button for the beta has an arrow the drops down and shows all the version)
On the legacy download make it say "Apple Clip" next to the Mac OS version.
In activity monitor, it is definitely showing it as a "Apple Clip" version under kind - if you have merged your Apple Clip computer from a Intel Clip computer that had Presenter on it, it will continue to have the intel chip until you uninstall it and re-install the Apple Chip version because it is just doing updates.

I don’t understand. I’ve never had an intel chip Mac. The Legacy version and the Beta version were both downloaded as Apple chip versions directly to my M2 Mac. Both of them state “Intel” under the “Kind” column. Can someone else out there check this on theirs as well? What am I doing wrong? I’ve been very careful to download the Mac chip versions.

Further to my previous post, I’ve checked the 'Get Info' panels in the Applications folder for both versions on my M2. Despite selecting the 'Apple Chip' download on the website, both files explicitly show 'Kind: Application (Intel)' and are running via Rosetta. My 2026 Beta was a fresh install this week (May 11), so there's no migration/Intel heritage involved. If yours says 'Apple,' could you check your 'Get Info' and see if it says 'Universal' or 'Apple Silicon'?

Allan,
I tried what Luke recommended. You have to completely uninstall the older software version first, then install the Apple silicon version.
Version 2026.1.0-beta.9 is now showing as “Apple chip” under the “Kind” column.
The older version, 2025.1.1, was originally showing as “Intel,” which is why it was triggering the Apple end-of-support notification for Intel-based applications.
I then went back and downloaded version 2025.1.1 directly from the website again, and now it is also showing as “Apple.”
Just for testing purposes, I reinstalled the original 2025.1.1 installer I downloaded back on Dec 24,2025, and that version still shows as "Intel". interstingly, the naming convention is exactly the same between both installers, so they definitely made some changes on the back end at some point without changing the version name.
At least it looks like the issue has been resolved now. Thank you everyone for the responses.

I’ll give this a try. Thanks.

Allan, I am running a Mac mini M4 and in the info I am showing Apple silicon. Also seeing the same thing with the Beta version. (Apple Silicon)

After you did the uninstalls? I need to do this yet. Not excited about having to reconfigure the app specific settings.
