OK, I deleted both versions, and downloaded the apple silicon versions again. Now both state "Apple" instead of "Intel"! And the Beta version is running much smother now! I still don't understand how I had the Intel versions. I absolutely downloaded the Apple silicon versions before - I was very careful about that.
