Services & Service Items

About Service Items

In this article, we will explore the six different types of Service Items available from Presenter and their functionalities. Each Service Item has its own unique features and functions; however, they all share the same three Settings options: Transition time, the ability to add an Audio file for the item (or import a new one from the Pro Plus Media Library), and the option to assign a Stage Display Template override.

When you add a Service Item to your service, you can choose from the following Service Item Types:

Blank

An empty item that is useful for transition slides or as a placeholder.

Song

Select a song from your library or import a new song. You can add a song by clicking +Add Song > Import from SS, LC, or Create a new song.

Scripture

Add a single Bible verse or passage to your service by using this service item. Click in the Passage section to use the Bible verse look-up. Enter your desired Bible verse(s) and translation. Set the Slide break, and whether you want to include the verse numbers on the slide. When ready, click Select Verses to add them to the service item.

Continue customizing your Scripture service further by adding Background media or a Template override. Click Save and Close when ready to apply the service item to your service.

Each of these types offers unique capabilities to enhance your service experience.

Audio

Each service item can have audio assigned to it, which can be played when the item is fired. This feature is ideal for walk-in background music, worship without musicians, or audio sermons.

To add audio to a service item, click the pencil icon to open the editor, then scroll to the bottom of Presenter to find Settings. Here, you will find Audio as the middle option. Click the + and select the desired audio file from your Media Library, or import them from your local drive. You can add more than one audio track, which will loop by default, so be sure to uncheck the Loop audio playlist box, if not wanted. When the service item is fired to the audience screen, the audio track(s) will play.
